Men on the Move – Moving Services

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the responsibilities, policies, and limitations of service provided by Men on the Move (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking, purchasing, or using our moving services, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following terms.

1. Services Provided

  • Men on the Move provides residential and commercial moving services including packing, loading, transportation, unloading, and unpacking, as requested by the Customer.
  • Any additional services (such as storage, specialty item handling, or long-distance moves) must be agreed upon in writing before the move date.

2. Estimates & Pricing

  • Price estimates are based on the information provided by the Customer. Additional charges may apply if the move requires more time, labor, or equipment than originally estimated.
  • Hourly rates begin when movers arrive at the Customer’s location and end upon completion of services.
  • Fuel surcharges, tolls, parking fees, and other expenses may be added where applicable.

3. Booking & Cancellations

  • A deposit may be required to confirm your booking.
  • Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled move are eligible for a full refund of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring clear access to the premises (driveways, hallways, elevators, etc.).
  • The Customer must pack personal belongings securely unless packing services are purchased.
  • The Customer is responsible for obtaining necessary parking permits and notifying building management of moving activities.

5. Liability & Limitations

  • Men on the Move will handle all items with care; however, we are not liable for:
    • Items packed by the Customer.
    • Pre-existing damage, fragile items not properly protected, or items of extraordinary value (cash, jewelry, documents, etc.).
    • Losses caused by weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.
  • Our standard liability coverage is $0.60 per pound per article. Additional insurance may be purchased separately.

6. Damages & Claims

  • Any damage or loss must be reported in writing within 7 days of the move.
  • Claims will be reviewed and processed in accordance with state and federal moving regulations.

7. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, or approved checks.
  • Late payments may be subject to fees.

8. Delays & Rescheduling

  • While we make every effort to meet scheduled times, unforeseen delays (traffic, weather, mechanical issues) may occur.
  • If rescheduling is necessary due to uncontrollable events, the Company will work with the Customer to arrange a new date.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which the move takes place.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By hiring Men on the Move, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
