Hello,
I just want to compliment Jesse and Don on an excellent and quick job they performed on July 1st. My daughter moved from a loft apartment to a second story loft last Thursday. These men were friendly and hardworking and got the job done so quickly. They treated the furniture as if it was their own.
We will surely be recommending “Men on the Move” to everyone we know.

You would be surprised at how many don’t understand the rates for moving with in the state of Michigan. Moving is regulated by the Michigan Public Service Commission and therefore we are required by law to a certain rate for any moves over 40 miles. These prices are set by the state not the Moving Company themselves. Anything under 40 miles is considered and local move and the Movers may set there own prices for these types of moves. If your getting a moving quote by the hour for a move over 40 miles BEWARE if the mover is caught doing this your furniture could be impounded by the state. If you have any further question on this I would encourage you to call the Michigan Public Service Commission at 517-241-6180.

When you use an Internet-based referral company or lead agency, you will generally not be asked to pay a fee or deposit because their fee is generated from the mover who is provided with your lead or referral information. When the referral company recommends movers, check to make sure that the movers being recommended are licensed by the FMCSA, that they have a satisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau and that they are members of a recognized national association, such as the American Moving & Storage Association or a State moving association.
