Another Happy Customer though a Realtor

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Below is the letter Annette recieved from a happy client.

Dear Annette,

I would like to thank you for a wonderful job you did in selling my home.  You are
the sweetest real estate agent that I have ever met.  I also would like to thank you
for recommending the Men on the move, moving company.  They were very prompt
and professional.  When I move my furniture from storage, I will definitely use them
again.  It was a tough day, but you and the movers made it very easy for me.  Again
thank you so much for everything.  P.S.  I have given everybody your name and
number.  Take care.

10 Ways to save the Earth

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

1.      Decrease Usage and Recycle Plastics – As much as possible, decline
usage of plastic for the small things that you buy in the mall or in
stores. If you can carry it, put it in your pocket or in your bags or
better yet carry a recycled plastic when shopping or going to the
market, please do so. And avoid using straws if you can. Plastic is
one of the main pollutants and it will take thousands of years before
we can get rid of it.

2.      Encourage your kids (and yourself) to do outdoor activities –
Watching tv, playing computer games listening to the radio or mp3s all
contribute to consumption of electricity, which in turn uses oil. If
we can play outdoors, make use of public and national parks, it will
do good not only to our health but to our budget as well, not to
mention, we can help in saving energy. Energy is not forever and we
obviously don’t want to go back to the days of oil lamps ad candles.
3.      Walk – if its just several blocks away from your friends house or
the computer shop or the market, why don’t we just walk and not take
the jeepney or tricycle anymore. We will be working out our muscles
and we help decline the release of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
Each stroll we make is a percentage of the ozone layer saved from
further opening up.

4.      Avoid food delivery – First, they use plastic to contain your food,
which is already bad for your health because its made of petroleum and
the environment for the reason stated earlier. Second, it uses
motorbikes that also contributes to air pollution, so please, if you
will not die from hunger and can still take a walk to the nearest
restaurant, avoid food delivery.

5.      Go on a natural diet – it’s healthy and it doesn’t use so much oil
and energy during production while junk food and fast food, aside from
its bad for your health, contributes to pollution during the process
of making it and again uses plastics.

6.      Use a glass of water when brushing your teeth – Save on water
consumption, it is not renewable and if we run out of it, we wouldn’t
survive even for a week in this world. Don’t let the faucet run while
you are brushing your teeth. Use dipper to clean your cars and fix
leaking faucets. This also goes to officials of water companies who
ignore leaking water pipes or slow in fixing it. This is everybody’s
concern so lets do our share.
7.      Stop smoking – We don’t oxygen to be replaced by carbon dioxide so
let us stop smoking. We save our health our future, our neighbours and
our environment.

8.      Practice family planning – Too many people means further increase
in demand, decline in supply, increase in pollution, flattening of
mountains, drying of bodies of water and eventually doomsday. To all
the parents, would be parents and singles, even to teenagers who can’t
abstain from sex, if we cant help it, then let us at least use
protection. Its for our own good.
9.      Take public transport – It wouldn’t hurt our economic status if we
use the public transport. There are vans, trains and even cabs to take
us to where we want to go, safely, fast and without the annoying
pollution. We save on gas and the scenery will awaken our
consciousness on the condition of the environment around us.

10.     Keep in mind articles like this – Because we are concerned about
our environment and so should you be. The call for saving and
protecting the environment should not only heed by few but by the
general population. Saving the earth is and should be a concerted
effort because this is the only planet we have so far. Its destruction
means our extinction, and if we want to live longer, we should act
now.

Sonic finds spot in Westland

Friday, March 20th, 2009

Sonic, a 50’s style restaurant chain is finding a new home in Westland. Demolishing should start rather soon at the old Denny’s site by Westland Mall. THis should give a good boost to an area that has really needed something new. Not only does Sonic have great food but they ought to help bring business to surrounding retail business’s which could always use a little added boost as well. I want to commend Lori Fodale and Mayor Wild for continuing to bring in new business to our city.
